Travel Information

Passport & Visa Requirements for Egypt

  • British and EU citizens require a visa on arrival in Egypt. The current cost is approximately US$25 (£20).
  • Visas can be obtained in advance via the official Visa2Egypt portal.
  • On arrival at Cairo International Airport, payment can be made in Sterling, US Dollars, or Euros.
  • Please notify us if you plan to obtain your visa on arrival.
  • Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date and include at least one blank page for the visa.

Hotel Changes

If necessary, we reserve the right to accommodate you in alternative hotels of a similar standard nearby. Full hotel details will be provided in your Final Travel Documents.

Accessibility Information

We aim to make our tours enjoyable and accessible for all travellers:

  • Walking is required, including short distances from coach stops to attractions.
  • Access to Nile cruise vessels may involve steps and narrow gangways; wheelchair access is not possible on board. Crew members will assist travelers with mobility challenges.
  • In some destinations, access to monuments and attractions may be limited.
  • Please inform us at the time of booking if you require special arrangements.

Transportation & Airport Assistance

Our Traveland representative will meet you at Cairo International Airport to assist with entry visas and guide you to your transportation.

  • We provide private, air-conditioned vehicles, including modern cars, minibuses, and coaches.

Tour Manager

We can offer experienced Tour Managers, to escort your groups from arrival at Cairo International Airport until the end of your trip.

  • Special Requirements

Please confirm that any dietary or special requirements have been noted and acknowledged at the time of reservation.

Saving Money

  • Book with a minimum deposit of 35% at least six months before departure to receive a 5% discount.
  • Groups of 6 or more travellers receive an additional 2% discount on the total amount.

Payment Options

Traveland accepts payment by Visa or MasterCard to secure your booking.

Book Now, Pay Later

Our Easy Payment Plan allows you to secure your holiday with a deposit and spread the cost in monthly payments until departure.

How It Works:

  1. Pay a deposit when booking directly with Traveland.
  2. Set up secure monthly payments.
  3. Payments begin at least 14 days after booking.

Eligibility:

  • Holidays departing in 12 weeks or more.
  • At least three monthly payments remaining.

Booking Terms & Conditions

Please read our booking conditions carefully. They outline your contract with Traveland under the Package Travel Regulations.

Your Booking

  • Your contract is with Traveland upon confirmation of your booking.
  • The Lead Name is responsible for accepting terms and ensuring all party members comply.
  • Egyptian law applies to the contract.

Payments

  • Deposit and final balance due are outlined in your confirmation.
  • Full payment is required if booking within 75 days of departure.

Cancellations

Cancellation charges depend on the timing of the notice provided:

  • Prior to balance due date: deposit retained.
  • 70–59 days before departure: 35% of total holiday price.
  • 58–45 days: 50%
  • 44–30 days: 75%
  • 29–15 days: 90%
  • 15 days or less: 100%

Exceptional circumstances, such as government travel advisories, may allow full refund or date transfer.

Complaints & Claims

  • Report any issues immediately to the hotel, Nile cruise, or Traveland representative.
  • Post-travel complaints must be submitted in writing no more than within 15 days.

Travel Insurance

  • Comprehensive travel insurance is required. Proof may be requested.
  • Traveland recommends purchasing insurance at the time of booking to ensure coverage for medical emergencies, cancellations, and unforeseen events.

Accommodation

Room types: single, double, twin, and triple configurations.

  • Check-in: 3 PM | Check-out: 12 noon
  • Late departures may be arranged subject to availability and additional charges.

Fitness to Travel

Inform us of any medical conditions, mobility issues, or specialist equipment to ensure safe and comfortable travel arrangements.

Travel Protection Plans

Traveland recommends travel protection plans for trip cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, baggage, and personal effects coverage. Assistance is available 24/7 through On Call International.

Holiday Extras

Travel booked independently through third parties is not covered by Traveland.
